Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Mobile Pantries

Second Harvest is excited to announce FOUR special Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Mobile Pantries in each of our service region counties for the month of November.

Registration is Required:

All income eligible community members that wish to attend a Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry must pre-register, starting at 8am on October 22nd using the proper link for their county. Once registered, a code will be provided. 

IMPORTANT: Please register for the correct county AND be sure to write down and save your code! Each vehicle will need to provide their code to gain entry into the distributions.

Second Harvest is proud to partner with the above organizations to distribute holiday themed assorted boxes of shelf-stable food, 12-14lbs turkeys, produce, pies, and MORE for income eligible households. LIMIT: 1 registration per household, 2 registrations per vehicle.

To receive food at a Second Harvest distribution or a partner food pantry, your household must fall at or below the income levels listed:

• Can I have food placed in my back seat?

  Food will only be placed in the trunk of your vehicle. Food cannot be placed in the front or back seat area. Please ensure trunk space is clean and clear of other items.

• Can one driver pick up food assistance for more than one household?

  Yes, one driver can pick up for another family. Be sure to have them pre-register and bring their code along with a photo of their ID for confirmation OR please have them print and fill out a Second Harvest Proxy Form. The form will need to be turned in during registration at the distribution. Two households per vehicle.

• Do I need any form of ID?

  No, the State of Ohio does not require us to ask for a valid photo ID.

• Do I need to show proof of income?

  You do not need to show a proof of income, but to receive food at a Second Harvest distribution or a partner food pantry, your household must fall at or below the income levels listed. Read more on household eligibility guidelines HERE: https://shfb.link/IncomeGuidelines
  

• Do you need to pre-register?

  Yes, pre-registration is REQUIRED. Please register using the specific Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Mobile Pantry link for your county:

  • Crawford County
  • Erie County
  • Lorain County 
  • Huron County

• Is there a specific time cars can begin to line up at each distribution site?

  Yes, Second Harvest is asking all community members who plan on attending each Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Distribution to not line up early. Parking lots of each distribution site will be monitored by law enforcement/security. All early arrivals will be asked to leave and please return at the below times:

  • Crawford County: 3pm
  • Lorain County: 9am
  • Erie County: 3pm
  • Huron County: 1pm
