Volunteer Guidance COVID-19/Coronoavirus

On Monday (3/9/2020), it was announced that there are 3 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Cuyahoga County. As a precaution, beginning Tuesday 3/10/20, we require all volunteers wear gloves.  If you feel under the weather or are easily susceptible to illness, we politely ask that you cancel your volunteer shift.

Your health is important to us, as well as food safety. We require that everyone takes preventative measures such as:

  • Washing hands for 20 seconds or longer with soap and water
  • Wearing gloves provided
  • Washing hands/changing gloves when in contact with face
  • Sneezing into your sleeve
  • Wiping down tables and bins after use with Sanitizer Solution or Virex Spray (See VR Staff).

We highly encourage that volunteers take time to review and share the following links below:

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. It is important that we all contribute to the preventative measures taken to decrease the spread of the virus.
