Description:
The Order Expediter is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, with a primary focus on order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and product movement. This position ensures orders are accurately selected, staged, and distributed while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The Order Expediter works closely with warehouse team to support inventory control, product rotation, truck loading and unloading, and overall operational efficiency, while upholding the mission and values of Second Harvest.
Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week. Typical schedule consists of three (3) workdays per week, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Workdays may vary based on organizational needs. The work schedule may be adjusted at the discretion of Second Harvest.

Specific Responsibilities:
Warehouse
Complete assigned duties to maintain the general orderliness and cleanliness in all areas of the warehouse in accordance with Feeding America, Good Manufacturing Practices, AIB and Second Harvest standards.
General Responsibilities:
Unload and load trucks in accordance with AIB, Feeding America, and Second Harvest procedures and guidelines. This includes adhering to proper handling procedures for all incoming product, including unloading, storage locations, accurate record keeping, donor restrictions, and receipt of product and temperature requirements. Assist in maintaining the receiving log book.

This position requires constant standing and/or walking. Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, carrying, and/or reaching is required. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. The ability to work in various temperatures with extreme heat or cold periodically is required. At times, this position works outdoors.
Salary Description:
$18.50-$21.00 hour
